Welcome to SouthArc, Inc. About SouthArc As the southeast continues to grow and expand, potentially valuable archaeological and historical resources are being impacted. Federal, state and local regulations often require identification and management of these resources. What We Do SouthArc was established in 1989 to provide a complete range of cultural resource management services to both the public and private sectors. SouthArc's experienced professional archaeologists understand the regulatory process as well as the nature of the resources and the needs of our clients. Our fully qualified archaeologists have over twenty years of experience working with planners, engineers, developers and government agencies throughout the southeastern United States. Our team has established a track record of producing excellent documentation on schedule, while working closely with regulatory agencies to insure compliance with all guidelines and requirements. The firm has completed over 300 projects for more than 100 clients since 1989. Who We Are The principals of SouthArc are certified members of the Register of Professional Archaeologists (RPA), the Florida Archaeological Council (FAC) and the Council of South Carolina Professional Archaeologists (COSCAPA). SouthArc is a charter member of the American Cultural Resources Association (ACRA), a trade association which promotes professional, ethical and business practices in our industry. The firm has worked in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, North and South Carolina, Virginia, Ascension Island, Antigua and the U.S. Virgin Islands. SouthArc's location in Gainesville, Florida provides access to the extensive research facilities of the University of Florida as well as ready access to the major growth areas of the southeastern U.S. SouthArc offers the training, skills, experience, and dedication to provide prompt responses to clients' needs.
